Linking and embeds
A note can point at another note, at a task, or at a whole board view. Links are indexed both ways, so you always see what points back.
Wikilinks
Type [[ in a note to open the note picker, or write the link by hand.

Wikilinks resolve by normalized title. Case does not matter and a trailing .md is ignored. They resolve inside the same board only; you cannot wikilink a note on another board.
A resolved link is a link you click to open the note. Its tooltip says Open note.
An unresolved link is one whose title does not exist yet. The picker says Press Enter to insert an unresolved note link when you type a title it cannot find, and the link's tooltip then says Create note. Clicking it creates that note, so you can write the outline first and fill the pages in later.
Linked mentions
Every [[wikilink]] a note contains is indexed. The Comments tab of the side panel lists Linked mentions at the bottom: the notes that link to the one you are reading, each with the sentence the link sits in.
Notes and tasks
Type # in a note to pick a task. The mention renders as a chip carrying the task's title, and the link is recorded in both directions.
- On the note, the side panel lists the tasks under Linked tasks.
- On the task, the Details tab lists the notes under Linked notes.
A [[Note]] typed in a task description counts too: it renders as a link and files that note under the task's Linked notes. A wikilink in a task description or a comment is a clickable link, but only wikilinks inside notes build the note-to-note graph.
Archived and deleted tasks drop out of both lists, and a note you are not allowed to open never appears in a task's list, not even by title.
The note graph
Graph view in the browser header draws the board's notes as a graph: one node per note, one edge per resolved wikilink. Bigger nodes have more links. Click a node to open that note, drag to pan, scroll to zoom, and use Recenter view to get back.
A board with no wikilinks yet shows an empty graph with a hint to connect notes with [[Note title]].
Embeds
Embeds are blocks rather than inline links. Insert them from the Embed group of the slash menu.
Embed task
Inserts a chip for one task showing its title, its list with the list's flow icon, its priority, its due date and its assignees' initials. Overdue dates are marked. The chip carries an Open task action, and it says Task unavailable if the task is gone.
Embed board view
Inserts a live view of another board. The configurator asks for three things.

The scopes are Open tasks, All tasks, Assigned to me, Due in 7 days, Overdue and Completed. The dialog previews how many tasks match before you insert.
The block stays live: it carries Refresh and Open board, and it says Showing the first 200 tasks when a board has more. Readers who are not members of the embedded board see You don't have access to this board.

Embeds in published notes
Publishing a note publishes what its embeds show. Because a public reader has no account, the embeds become a static snapshot taken when the page loads.
- A task chip exposes title, list, priority, due date and assignee initials, never the description or comments.
- A board embed exposes the same per-task fields, capped at 200 tasks, and applies the same scope or saved-view filter.
- The Assigned to me scope resolves to nothing, because an anonymous reader has no identity.
- Videos keep playing from their provider.
Truetask asks before it does this. If the notes you are about to publish contain board or task embeds, a confirmation appears titled Expose embedded boards & tasks? and says how many notes are affected. See Access and publishing.
